Actions Speak Louder Than Words

I’m coming down off my high from an exciting week.  I recently wrote an article on ShoeMoney.  You should definitely check it out.

As always, I poured a little heart and soul into it.  The article is called.

10 Ways to Find Time for Online Business with a Full-Time Job

If you are struggling with trying to balance a job and an online business, this is an article you definitely read because I am dropping golden nuggets all over the place.  Okay, I may be biased but I really do think you should check it out if you have or are considering a work from home business.

Now, back to the subject, but these things are definitely connected.

Why do your actions speak louder than words ever will?

I’m sure you have heard the quote that actions speak louder than words before.  I did not just create it.

This may be obvious to some.  You can tell someone you are going to do something, but it’s the actions that let people know you are serious.

Your word is your bond…but your actions represent what you really stand for.  Your actions show what you really want in life.

For instance, if you say you really want to lose 10 pounds in the next 6 months.  That doesn’t seem unrealistic, does it?  It seems very achievable.

But do your actions agree with your plan?

Are you just saying it or are you doing it?  Do you say you want to lose weight, but you:

  • find excuses not to hit the gym?
  • don’t learn more about nutrition to help?
  • still spend a lot of time at fast-food restaurants?
  • don’t watch what you’re putting into your grocery cart?

These are just some examples.  And these are questions I ask myself as much as I ask you.

Back to the article I wrote, I could easily say that I wanted to write an article for ShoeMoney.  But my actions are what truly determine if I’m serious.  Because we all have a lot going on in our lives, jobs, businesses, and society.

You still have to decide what is most important to you and make sure your actions are aligned with that.

Instead of writing that article, I could have:

  • Watched television
  • Gone to the beach
  • Hung out with friends

But I didn’t because I know my actions must align with my goals.  It was more important for me to write that article.

So, I encourage you to take the time and determine if your actions speak louder than your words.

Do you have goals you want to achieve?

Are you letting excuses get in the way?

Now, is the time to fix it.  No one can do it for you…but you.

If you have been thinking about and talking about starting an online business, but haven’t taken any actions to get started, now is the time.  You can review the list of business books for entrepreneurs.

These books contain tips and solutions for business.  It’s up to you to take action.

You should understand there is a big difference between your words and your actions.  Your actions tell who you truly are and what you truly desire in business and life.
